As you plan your organization's meetings and events for the coming months, consider including as part of the program a presentation from the New Jersey Lottery Speaker's Bureau. The NJ Lottery Where the Money Goes tour provides insight into how revenue generated from the sale of lottery tickets results in financial support for many of our State-sponsored institutions, as well as for a wide variety of vital educational programs.
The presentation consists of a 15 minute PowerPoint demonstration, followed by a brief Q&A period and some interesting stories about our games, our retailers and our jackpot winners.
Since the first ticket was sold more than 39 years ago, the Lottery has been helping to meet
New Jersey 's needs and to improve the lives of countless Garden State residents - players
and non-players alike. In Fiscal Year 2009, the New Jersey Lottery returned more than $887 million to benefit education and institutions in our State.
